On our 4th day of Safari (yes, i had the chance to be on a safari!!!, still can"t believe it) around Ngorongoro Crater we came across a lion family. This very handsome male was in the hunt position. Our guide told us that normally females do the hunting but in this case he is in charge of hunting cause his sisters are still young We waited for a while and in the end there was no hunting and no Zebra was killed but still was an amazing day full of great memories.
Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 610 metres deep and its floor covers 260 square kilometres. Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from 4,500 to 5,800 metres high. The elevation of the crater floor is 1,800 metres (5,900 feet) above sea level (from Wiki)

I see that you've been among the happy ones to be on a safari, at least once in a lifetime (so was I as well) and this could never be forgotten, especially in tanzania !
A good dynamic shot, razor sharp and very expressive look of the lioness
Bravo, best regards

Mükemmel bir fotoğraf, ellerinize sağlık.
Bir de bilgi verirken alt tarafında Türkçesini de verseniz, tam süper olurdu...

This is a fine close study of a lion. The light is very good and the perfect sharpness allows us to see every detail of its fur. A very impressive shot.

Hi Basak, Woow, you were so close, it is probably the same lion I saw on Deniz photo. it was incredible experience, for sure. I am glad that zebra was not killed but on the other hand, lions also must eat something, they are not vegetarians. Fantastic shot, I would be very proud having one like this.

Safari in Tanzania is something special and you did very well to capture this fine picture of the lion. The tight framing is excellent and he has eye contact with you! The position of the front paw suggests that he was moving towards you.
Very well done,
