Photographer’s Note

...but a worthy one. Undoubtely. More or less at this time I´m posting this photo but a year ago, we were starting our final climbing to the highest peak in África: The Kilimanjaro. 5895 meters over the sea level. After a long walk up of eight hours through the night, -20º of temperature and the high altitude sicknes threathing us, we reach the summit. While I writte this note I can see my diploma, but what I see when I remember that moment is how happy I was, how Miguel Parra really was up there, how proud and thankfull of the people who help us to arrive there I was... Yes I wont forget, or If I ever forget it´s because something wrong is going on with me... I was so full of life up there folks... You cant imagine!

If you visit the workshop of this photo you will find the people I want to dedicate this photo, those who take us there, from the guides to the cooker and the porters; and of course I want to dedicated to Miguel Expósito, Sandra Boni and Tomás Gómez my friends of the African skies, I hope we can share some more adventures in the future.

Congratulations on reaching the top of Africa! Your dream came true!! The glacier shining in morning sun is really beautiful, and depiction of the horizon is exquisite.

La nota es de primera. Porque dices muchas cosas y todas ellas son cosas que solo las puede decir quien ha pasado por esta experiencia.

Hola Miguel,
Having climbed many mountains, I know exactly what you mean in your note... that exhilirating moment when you reach the summit and where you forget all those long hours of struggling to get there. The photo is superb with the early morning light on the snow and the climber in the foreground. Kilimanjaro is still on my "to do list" but I hope I can go there within the next few years!

Hola Miguel, the great height of this mountain
is shown by the cloud bank and the snow banks and that adds drama to great climbing scene in superb light. Together with your note and the WS it's a beautiful homage to the people involved....and your dreams. TFS and take care.

vraiment très impressionnant.
Moi qui ne fait que passer au dessus en avion en allant à Zanzibar, je suis admiratible. Bravo pour l'image et barvo pour l'exploit.
