Just enjoying Photo

Photographer’s Note

I dont use to think about big issues while enjoying sunsets, dawns, or great landscapes... I simply try to enjoy them. Like the guy in this photo taken while leaving the shira plateau, half way to the summit of Kilimanjaro. It was a great experience.

El punto rojo da un interesante toque de color, Miguel, llama la atención, pero no distrae, más bien le da un punto de vista a la foto, el del que contempla el lugar, dejándose llenar por su aire, sus aromas... Me gusta mucho además el fondo, la montaña irregular, las nubes, el color brumoso que acentúa la distancia... Es muy evocadora!

Este es un panorama majestoso, con las montañas en todo su esplendor y la niebla misteriosa que cubre las cumbres. Que mas se puede desear?

Hola Miguel,
A striking mountainscape with added dramatism due to the clouds covering a part of it. The man in the red jacket is xactly on the right place. And yes..... it's a good lesson to remember - the grandeur of mountain (and city) scapes has a value of its own which should sometimes be perceived and ejoyed just like that.

Sin duda, un buen amigo, "xavis" no me mintió... he visitado tu galería, todo un lujo. El único inconveniente, bueno... no saber de ti antes.

Esta imagen me inspira tranquilidad, que en la montanya es un placer encontrar. Las cimas, las nubes y el protagonista captados desde este punto de vista que nos muestras nos transmiten la serenidad que acompanya a muchas ascensiones. La simplicidad de la fotografía, a la que no le faltan detalles nos muestra un lugar mágico y lleno de misterio, África, donde no todo es arena y sol.

Yes, sometimes we just want to sit in front of the immensity, be it the sea, the mountains or a vast prairie. And think about... nothing. Or just let the thoughts freely moved this or that way, coming to life and vanishing into the void... again.
Lovely picture, thanks to the red shirt, making it more visible against the dark background.
Moody picture as well, with the clouds obscuring the lighted sky.
