Photographer’s Note

In the last weeeks I´m discovering the radio. As journalist I´ve never worked in that media and it´s absolutely fantastic, somehow magic. Of course I´m running a half an hour program about Travelling and travellers, together with movies, to move around the world is a real passion. Due to this new professional adventure, the other day I got the change to interview a cameraman that shot documenaries high in the mountains, but I mean like the Everest. He tells us about fantastic experiences, I got the sensation to learn, and bring me back memories of my days climbing the Kilimanjaro, during the summer of 2007, these days I think a lot about myself during that travel... Well, enjoy mountain, this photo was took at Barafu camp, at 4600 meters over the sea level. The mountain at the end of the landscape es Mawenza mountain, with an altutitude of a bit more of 5000 meters. It was one of the best days of my life.

Un superbe composition avec un excellent équilibre des masses, de très jolies couleurs et j'apprecie beaucoup les nauges dans le ciel qui donne du dynamisme à l'ensemble! Bravo à toi et bon WE!

Thanks to share your experience. It must indeed be a great adventure. Anyway great lighting and composition. Maybe a figure would have been a good addition to it.

Hallo Miguel!
You experienced a dream of mine which unfortunately couldn't come true because of health: climbing on top of Kilimanjaro. Well, I cannot change it - but I'm a bit enviuos ;-)).
Your photo shows this lava desert in an impressive way and the tent is a beautiful addition here, giving some colour. In combination with your personal note a wonderful contribution here on TE!

Interessante el cambio del visual al audio. Esta guay hablar de viajar (ya lo se por que es mi trabajo).
Me gusta tu compusto con el buen equilibrio entre la montaña y la tienda. La nitidez es excelente y el cielo muy animado.

I remember quite well your Kilimanjaro shots! I am glad that this sghot made its way to TE. It gives a less hype impression of this hike and yet the composition with the yellow tent to the right and the strange formed peak to the left and the deep blue sky is great. The peak is typical for vulcanic activity. Big surprise! The entire Kilimanjaro is a big volcano ...

Beautiful almost martian landscape, Miguel.
The tent looks like a small sun on earth. Congratulations for the program. It´s such a great opportunity to run a radio show!

Hola de nuevo, veo que todavía te interesan las montañas... todavía vas caminando por la Sierra de Guadarrama?

La imagen me gusta mucho con la tienda amarilla descentrada yla vista hasta cumbre y el ciello muy bello.

PS: La transmición de radio se puede oir tambienpor internet?

Hola Miguel,
Seldom are best days captured so perfectly; Usually we're having too much fun or too busy to step aside and record the day. The framing is exceptional with the rocky 'nose' pointing at the mountain, the tent providing a bright spot and the comfortable detail of the socks. The clarity of the the color is great and the detail is great, especially in those fluffly clouds. Your radio show sounds very interesting.

Ha sido todo un acierto situar la tienda de campaña en primer plano, pero en un lateral.

Una composición clasica de montaña muy bien conseguida. El contraste de colores es megnífico.

Ya veo que no te aburres ni un solo momento. El proyecto este de radio es genial, aunque una lastima que no pudiera oirte el otro día...los deberes del padre de familia...son enormes... :-)

Dime que otro día pasas por la radio y a ver si te escucho que, conociendote, seguro que sera interesante.
