Photographer’s Note
This is a black Jesus Christ. Europeans draw Jesus with blond hair and white complexion. I have seen a portrait of Jesus in the Philippines with a face very similar to Filipinos. Now this is a Jesus drawn by African artists. I captured this photo in the grand hall of the World Council of Churches in Geneva, Switzerland. I concluded that every human being tries to identify his beloved prophet, saint and even champion with what he imagines and not with the possible reality.

I love the colors and the details. Somehow the noise works here. It feels as if the painting was done on a canvas...very interesting indeed.

Pretty cool, but this is not Swaziland but Switzerland :)
Here in Catalonia (Europe) we worship a black Virgin or Madonna. We didn't make the figure black, it was the smoke of the candles that turned it that way, but now all the reproductions of the virgins are made in black color.
