Photographer’s Note
'koora' is an arabic name of football (or soccer) in many muslim countries (in Sudan also); "the ball" was made from the rags; those children could only dream about the real ball; they play barefoot & in dust but they'll never complain;
Wad Medani; central Sudan

Hi Slawek,
your african shots are often a mesterpiece. You're able to communicate with them the secret life of this continent.
This image is full of joy and vitality: as you said in your note: they'll never complain....
Alberto
PS: I hope to be able to go to Chad; before the last troubles border was closed...

like alberto said... masterpiece... I think this picture is a masterpiece. All you usually see of sudan is skinny sad looking refugees. Your picture shows that despite all the sorrows kids still have fun playing soccer. ANd it also teaches us a lesson: kids in the western culture have nintendos, PCs, high tech toys... On the other hand you see these cute sudanese kids being content and having so much fun with a rag ball!! Do you see western kids having so much fun nowadays? Dont they prefer to sit alone in front of their computer playing violent war games? Thank you for sharing this picture!!
