Photographer’s Note

Wadi Halfa, Northern Sudan; Muslims shouldn't smoke sheesha, but nonetheless this part of country is under strong influence from Egypt - where sheesha is such popular; from hunger of any other stimulant or alcohol sheesha is all they have - so those sudanise youth spend all days smoking; rhythm of their life is the rhythm of snoring and launching smoke;

Hello Slawek,
This one is so well known for me, as it is really abundant in Turkey bu not sold as sheesha, but as Nargile. Nice DOF with low f value and focusing on the hot coal and brass article is nice, leaving the happy man blurred in the background. I think keeping the sheesah more to the left and fully exposing the man would give a much better POV and compo. Light coming from the right is really nice and faded lighting creates a mysterious atmosphere. I would recommend you to add some additional info about what sheesah (or nargile) is because it is hard for someone to imagine what this man is doing without reading some more informative note. Afterall, a great share for my taste. TFS,

Sorry I write in french....
Je trouve le tout un peu trop centré, mais à part ca, j'aime beaucoup l'idée.
Le pov me plait, il donne de l'effet et je dirais presque qu'il donne de l'importance à ce moment.
Très bien pensé ce focus posé sur l'avant plan et cet homme dans ce léger flou. La fumée qui sort de sa bouche...le truc en plus.

Cześć! Zwróciłem uwagę na to zdjęcie podczas slajdowiska. Po za tym, że to warta pokazania osoba, zrobiłeś interesujące zdjęcie. Podoba mi sie to, że ostry jest pierwszy plan, a drugi w sumie ważniejszy, taki rozmyty. Buduję to naprawdę dobrą, trochę mroczną atmosferę zdjęcia. Ładna kompozycja i nienajgorszy kadr. Czekam na kolejne fotki z Sudanu na TE. Odwiedziłeś tam wiele interesujących miejsc i na pewno warto je pokazać. Pozdrowiam serdecznie! Andrzej
