Village Elder
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
It was early morning on the bus that had taken me from Dongola to Abri, the heart of Nuba Country. At each village we stopped to drop people, regardless of the early hour, there would be a reception commitee to meet the disembarking passengers, usually family and friends who would have travelled for days.
This village elder was one of the commitee with his broad and welcoming face. |

A lot of kindness and gentleness are coming from this man
A great portrait even with a very difficult light

Hi twj
Great portrait photo, the man's face is increadibly expressive.
Good DOF and POV and moment to shot this.
The colours are very good too.
I think the face is lacking of some bright, so I'll make a WS, if you don't mind.

You've captured a beautiful smile on this man. I love the way the fabric falls around him as well! It's a shame with the light. Anyway, great moment you've captured, thanks for sharing!

Hello Twj:
This is an excellent picture of the village elder. His expression is charming and warm!
The history relates very well to the picture as well.
The lighting is perfect and adds to the overall mood of the picture.
Just looking at this gentleman, I feel that I am in the heart of Nuba (the next best thing to being there).
