Taken at the ruins of Meroe in North Central Sudan. Really a magical place, Meroe as well as Sudan. Endless sand, endless views, beautiful people and beautifel landscapes...
...not to mention endless dust and heat.

What's that John!, It looks like a fabulous impressionist painting. The big mass of reddish-brown, contrasted against the wild blue sky, works perfect!. I love it!

Olá John,
muito bonita essa foto com um forte contraste de cores, e gostei do efeito do vento sobre a duna também. Belo trabalho.
Parabéns e Abraço

Hello John,
I like the beautiful, strong colors in this photo. It is great the way the shape of the sand matches the shape of the brick structure, even though it is missing the point on top! Nice layered composition and tight crop, too.

A perfect colours combination between the subjects, maybe just suggest to capture higher sky and less abit the fg, but i still like this picture. A nice well comeback shot....thanks John :-)

Very simple and clean composition, and also very interesting subject.
The wind blowing the top of the dune is the special touch.

Very simple, but great looking composition. Nice combination of orange and blue colors. It's good that sand can be seen flying from the top of the dune - that gives an idea about real harsh conditions out there.
