The view from the top of Jebel Barkal looks across the nile to the other side where there are many date palms. In the distance, the pyramids of El Kurru can be seen. Jebel barkal itself is a very holy place for local muslims.

Beautiful scenery overlooking the Nile valley, I wish I could visit this place once. Nice depth all the way to the distant El Kurru pyramids. Gebel Barkal was a holy place for the ancient Egyptians as well, they called it the "Holy Mountain" and it was thought to be one of the dwelling places of god Amun. The warm tones of the house are and the light are very nice and the contrast with the lush on the other side of the river is great. Well done!
