Penguins are my favorite birds, first of all, because they don't look like birds.
Their movements are so humanly expressive, so "anthropogenic" that you can seat and watch them for an hour and then tell a Shakespeare's-worth drama-tragedy-comedy, whatever you will be lucky to be a witness of.

Another amazing fact about these penguins is that they are African penguins. We usually think of Africa as of a motherland of lions, elephants and hippos, but not Antarctic birds. here they are - just a couple of hours from Cape Town.

I posted a close-up view of those two penguins as a workshop.

Hi Olga,

Really cool shot! I wish I had the opportunity to observe those funny-intersting animals form so close. You capture a nice moment and your story works just fine. I like the compo like that as it shows that those pinguins are not in antartica. I got to know something new trought you icture. Thanks!

Regards,

Flavia

Very lovely shot, Olga, and penguins are not just your favorite, they are also mine. Good composition in this pov.

Good metering for the shadow, with a little of waves at top. Well done. TFS

p/s penguins are symbols for linux OS.

c'est bien la peine d'être seuls sur une plage de sable blanc avec une belle eau émeraude pour se tourner le dos !

cadrage très réussi bravo !

hi olga,
very good composition, with a very nice frame of ocean waves, with a humorous and natural theme, congratulations for the photo!

Hello Olga
Great title! The composition shows off their surroundings very well, although I like your WS version also. Good natural colours and sympathetic border.
I hope they will soon be friends again!
Best wishes Maggie

These are those small penguins which live in tropical places, they are so cute, all kinds of penguins are beautiful, dont u wish to have one of those at home to be your buddy? I know I do:) I'm jealous too that u had the opportunity to see this cuties from up close, I've only seen them on tv. This is a very good and interesting capturing, thanks.

Hi Olga,

Ils se font la tête !!! Trop génial !
Belle composition.
Marie

Hello Olga,
i like this picture more than the one in the workshop, because it also includes the sea in the picture. Also from my point of view, penguin pictures usually are covered by ice and snow.
Congratulation to this wonderful picture.
Karl

Hi Olga,

Wonderful picture and great perspective. However I feel that you should not frame this picture at all.

Hemant

Hi Olga,

Hahahaha! When seeing the title, I was thinking "That's not nice to say to your fellow TE members!". But seeing the photograph I can just laugh. Very funny :-D.
Think the main posting works very well with the strong off-center compo.

Greetings! Dennis

Hello Olga,
That is an amazingly meaningful photo. Great catch. Thanks for sharing.

Ahmet

I love this shot. One minor suggestion I would have is to us Photoshop to remove at least the stone in the left. Just a minor suggestion. Great job in capturing the moment.
