The Protea Aristata is a very rare protea.
It was rediscovered in the 1950’s (it was believed for quite some time it had become extinct).
This protea flowers in December, Summer in the Cape.
The flowers are magnificent, coming in different shades from scarlet to deep, velvety pink, its leaves having a striking resemblance to pineneedles. |
