Photographer’s Note
Okay - I really don't know how the flintstones lived. I thought it was in stone houses... This place can be found up at Kaapschehoop - a very odd little town with no rules for architecture. There are so many different people there, and each house is different. This one has a "moat" that runs around the entire little house under the wooden bridge, and the signboard that is too weathered to read, says "Flintstones". During weekends, there are lots of tourists that wander around the place, marvelling at the oddeties around them. Even the bikers come and visit often on their Harley Davidson's. I will be posting a few shots of the odd architectural styles chosen by these people. I wonder how many other places on the planet are like this. Free reign to live out your dreams...
Tech: Resized for web, cloned out a nasty cable that hung near the top of the roof, and applied unsharp mask. Hope you like it.

Dabah Dubi Doouh, as one of the flintsones said, which means Great. I like the symmetry and the wonderful shape and texture of this hut.The only things I'd cahnge is going with the clone brush of the antennas and the eletricty wire, but except from this - good shot, Judy.

Oh - very well spotted Judy and a funny idea for title as well ;-) - I wonder isent this house tacked with straw or reeds - never mind a nice and special architecture to watch - I never seen anything quite like this around here.

Hi Judy, funny building indeed, and you captured it well, It looks like a ship upside down. And probably it's good to live in. I like what you write in your notes about living out your dream.

A nice capture Judy; I think I've seen this place, but it must have been a while ago. It's well composed and backed up by a typical South African sky! Good Note -- and a very fitting title! I'm out of points -- will post tomorrow.

Nice tight and symmetrical framing around this funny building, Judy. Fine bright colors, and good texture on the "moat" which is quite a unique sight. Fine notes, too, and I'll be checking back for the upcoming architectural impressions you're announcing!

You are so right about all those curious architectural styles that can be found the world over. This one really takes a prize. At first sight I thought it was a thatched roof (we have lots of those in Denmark near the North Sea)but I guess it is some kind of concrete. I would like to see the inside - and how they hang paintings on the walls.
