Another shot from my recent visist to the Kruger National park. This giraffe was happily eating away with two others.
Some giraffe facts: The Giraffe is the tallest animal in the world.
Male giraffes will often neck wrestle to establish dominance in their herds.
Giraffes are one of the few animals born with horns.
The giraffes life span is between 20-25 years.

In the workshop I have made a close up crop of the giraffes head to show more detail.

Hello Wanda. This is a nice capture of this cute animal. I like the way you managed to frame the head and neck peeking from behind the dead tree. Good colours and sharpness and well composed picture. Cheers :-)

Roberto

Hello Wanda,
This composition is kind of funny too!
It is like the animal wasn't quite in place, but wanted so badly to be in the image he had to really s-t-r-e-t-c-h out!
A lovely capture with good details, attractive composition!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Wanda,

Wow!! Big two thumbs up! This one is my favorite among your animal images. Very sharp, much details, great bokeh, vivid colours, excellent light management. I like how the giraffe is «introduced» in the frame and the fact that it’s looking straight at the camera.

Have a nice week-end!

André

I had a friend in college who was as tall but his neck was surely shorter!!! You remind me of those days wanda and mae me envious with all these places that you get to visit and capture all these creatures. The colours and mood in this one is great. I like the look on the giraffe.

Hi Wanda,
giraffe is one of my favorite animals.
You catched a lovely glance.
Sharpness and light are great!
Have a nice we!
Alberto

Excellent catch, she looks very suprised. I may have tried an horizontal crop cutting out most of the sky above.

Hi Wanda, lovely girafe with splendid pose, wonderful colors, very well done, have a nice week end, ciao Silvio

Hi Wanda,
hey this is a good shot to capture a tall giraffe. Against the trees as background and also no ground in front it is excellent shown that a giraffe is a tall animal (the tallest as you wrote) even only showing neck and head. The vertical format helps here I think. Good sharpness and well blurred.

Hi, my friend!
I see you like very much african animals. In Poland we have elephants and giraffes only in zoo. It is pity! Nice composition. Good colours and light.
Marek

Hi Wanda,
Wow! This one is amazing! Not only you captured he animal very well , but you also did a wonderful compo. The technical quality is great in every detail.
Is the workshop a crop of the post? I ask this because its sharpness is *so* good...
