This view is taken above Karbonkelberg mountain. In the background to the left is Chapmans Peak. Further on past chapmans Peak is a view to 5 mile beach at Noordhoek & Kommetjie. The walk to the top of Karbonkelberg is roughly 2 hours.

Fantastic landscape, congratulations!
I like the contrast of colours in the lower part of the image, with green and blue and the white of the stones.
And also the different tones of blue of sky and sea.
It seems that the POV is very high on the sea level!!

Very beautiful view, Lynette. I like these clouds in the background and how you composed the picture to show this bay. I would maybe only use a bit wider angle in order not to cut the shoreline on the left.

Hello Lynette. A beautiful and deep scenic view along the meandering rugged shoreline. Your POV is well chosen and slightly vertigo-inducing, and the light at the time of day was very nice to render a vivid and natural color reproduction (HP cameras tend to yield a lush range of blue tones under good light conditions, it's quite evident in this photo of yours). Good choice of the vertical format to enhance the height and depth of this view.

Wow you certainly been busy since i last looked!You have added a nice selection of images.What an amazing view...you most certainly have a beautiful country.Lovely depth in the image with you having added the foreground cliff.Good colour and I like the sharp detail.The composition is also very good with the BG outcrop of land leading off and not too tight...any cropping? Have a good weekend....and I noticed your new self-portrait on your info...cute!

Majestic scene, Lynette. Beautiful colour rendition and well defined landforms in the distance. I take Alexander's point about the shoreline, but if you weren't using a DSLR with extra wide angle lens I can imagine that you wouldn't have been able to get enough in vertically, and both the foreground and the sky are important in this one. Well done.

I love the blues in this image - the whole scene is crisp and clear with a lot to catch the eye.

You've done well in capturing the feeling of height here, many such scenes feel 'flat', but I'm getting dizzy just looking at this - very nice!
