Congratulations: I like this portrait very much...
It really gives the impression of his life and work...

Only one minor thing: the fence - I'm not sure but maybe the portrait would look better without this fence: but of course it would require in the beginning much more effort to do it :)

Hi Ryno,
This is a great example of good environmental portraiture; showing the man in the context of the environment where he lives and works. Its so much more effective than a straight head and shoulders portrait would have been.
You've found an appealing looking subject and caught a great expression - top marks from me.

A nice man you found indeed. The guy is capturing so much attention that a bit blurry background is just what he deserves - nothing else matters but him and his bicycle :)

A good photo with good composition. A nice portrait of the man and his bicycle. I have not had ostrich meat in a while. I can only get it in Napa Valley, California.

Hi Ryno, Lekker man. Good colour, detail and exposure. This potrait captured all the elements of the man, his work and the landscape.

Minor critique, I would love to see more detail of his bicyclc in the photo and less sky

Beautiful portrait of this friendly old man standing in front of his (?) ostriches. I like your composition here and you managed the light on his face very well.
I drove through the Klein Karoo with a group and unfortunately we only saw a few ostriches. Would like to go there again and see a little more of it then the few days we had.
