This was taken from my apartment in Gordons Bay in the spring of 2003. The place is called Baywatch Terraces and it was the first time I had my own place.
You're looking down at False Bay and a small town called Strand. In the back you can see some of the Table Mountain. Behind that is Cape Town.
The sky was actually THAT red! I didn't do anything special to this picture, just a resize and sharpening. The white balance of the camera was set to cloudy and that makes it just a little more saturated.

Gorgeous red colours and lovely texture of the sky. Good contrasts of solid sky with the light dots of the town below. However that thing sticking out from left of frame is quite obstructive and I'd like to see a more 'focused' image - ie, put sth more dramatic so our eyes can focus on it and let sky work as background. OR perhaps you can just use the three dot of yellow lamps to be the 'focal point' with the lovely sky behind.
Nice attempt though. Keep trying & you'll get it :)

Very impressive red sky. To give the sky about 80% of the photo surface, it gives the impression it'll crush the city. Very red sky like I've never seen before.

It is indeed too hot. X_X Especially today, which could be the hottest day in Britain on record. On the news they say it will reach perhaps 41 degrees (about 107 farhenheit, I think).
My parents are going to South Africa in a few weeks for Safari. I suspect it will be like the Safari in Kenya, which I went on, but in South Africa instead.
You captured a beautiful sky. The sky is wonderful. Day or night it is beautiful, whatever the weather and whatever time it is. The sky is always changing, so every photo of the sky is unique. Sunrise and sunsets are the best times to photograph the sky. If you have a high powered telescope and some find astrophotography equipment then taking photos of the Universe is better, though. For plebs like us I think we'll have to stick with sunrise and sunset. ;)
You have travelled all around the world. You're lucky.
