This is in fact also Lucy's house (same as in the photo entitled Lucy's House) in the picture. I wouldn't normally put two photographs of the same scene together, but I just couldn't resist a different crop as the clouds changed and I guess I have a thing for black & white...

Well, I would say this is a perfect subject for a black and white photo. This is a beautiful, moody and evocative shot with a great low POV, superb stormy sky and lots of great graphical elements such as the grass or the house perched atop the hill. Great composition indeed.
have a good day

Wonderful capture of detail and light. Love the format in B&W. The clouds and grass really steal the show for me. Fantastic work here Lavonne!

Aaaah! This is another fantastic presentation of this hillside! I have no workshop to offer here -- I cannot think of any way to improve this image! There is fine depth of tones in the grasses, Lucy's house is bright white, and the sky holds great drama. Your decisions to go monochrome with horizontal framing were brilliant.

Your monochrome vision forces attention to details and textures, not only the dramatic storm clouds but also the grass field foreground dominating.
Nicely composed and created,
