Photographer’s Note

A couple of boys were playing around in an old washing machine box in Langa. They loved the attention that the tourists paid them, although pretty much all the other photo's I took of them had at least one giving us the finger. A bit sad that they have learnt this gesture at such a young age, but then I guess boys will be boys wherever you go.

Photo très sympa que ces 2 garçons qui ont l'air d'être heureux.
Quand j'étais petit on s'amusait avec n'importe quoi, un bout de bois, des cailloux, des objets divers.
Maintenan les jeunes en Europe ne se contentent pas d'un simple carton.
Félicitation pour cette photo plaine de fraîcheur et de simplicité.

Hello John,
I like this and smiled at your note. Yes, like lads everywhere. if they think they can get away with bad behaviour they will. You were hardly likely to tell their mother were you?
The top of the box is over-exposed but who cares? You ahve captured a good moment here.I like their cheecky smiles anlaughing eyes...full of mischief! But don't kids stop playing in boxes after they leave toddlerhood?...obviously not.

Hi John,

They seem to be enjoying thenselves. I like their happy expression. The box is quite overexposed though and I geuss a little croping on the top and left would bring more of the boys to the focus. A B&W version could work as well. Nice moment captured.

I like thier relaxed expression. Yes the top of the box is overexposed, so maybe you should have used the flasch (or am I wrong?) B&W is probably also a good idea. Focus and POF are great.
