Just a gull.
Gulls or seagulls are birds in the family Laridae. They are most closely related to the terns (family Sternidae) and only distantly related to auks, skimmers, and more distantly to the waders.
Gulls are typically medium to large birds, usually grey or white, often with black markings on the head or wings. They typically have harsh wailing or squawking calls, stout, longish bills, and webbed feet. Most gulls are ground-nesting carnivores, which will take live food or scavenge opportunistically. Live food often includes crabs and small fish. Gulls have prophylactic unhinging jaws which allow them to consume large prey. Apart from the kittiwakes, gulls are typically coastal or inland species, rarely venturing far out to sea The large species take up to four years to attain full adult plumage, but two years is typical for small gulls. Gulls nest in large, densely packed noisy colonies. They lay two to three speckled eggs in nests composed of vegetation.
Gulls—the larger species in particular—are resourceful, inquisitive and intelligent birds, demonstrating complex methods of communication and a highly developed social structure. For example, many gull colonies display mobbing behaviour, attacking and harassing would-be predators and other intruders. Certain species (e.g. the Herring Gull) have exhibited tool use behaviour, using pieces of bread as bait with which to catch goldfish, for example. Gulls have been observed preying on live whales, landing on the whale as it surfaces to peck out pieces of flesh.

Hi Malgorzata. This is a very attractive image from my part of the world. Even on the thumbnail I recognized the quality of the light immediately as South African. I like the way you captured the gull at the right moment, just before he landed on the pole. Good work!

Good morning, dear Malgorzata,
Attractive view! We have got _25 C now, and I'd like to fly as this bird to the sea coast too. Unfortunately, I am busy for it. But I can see your wonderful photos from far warm countries. Thanks!

This dynamic snapshot of a landing seagull is very well composed, with interesting colorful foreground and green mountainous background. The light, quality and colors also are very good. Excellent job!

swietny kadr i ciekawe zdjecie.

A simple but nice picture of a seagull coming in for landing. The colours are nice and strong and there are three fine diagonals in the lower half of the picture.

A fantastic composition that attracts our attention first by the wonderful color of the sea, after the figure of the sea gull, which has splendidly captured in flight, which gives a great impact to the composition.
Superb sharpness on a bright day that gives a beautiful range of colors.
Have a good night.

The vertical lines of the poles provide a good part of the composition, against the strong horizontal line of the background shore, which also separates the picture at the third. Dark colours above this line and lighter below with an attractive blue-green sea. The bird also adds life and action to the picture!

A very good quality shot! The colours and sharpness are great and the composition also, with the gull flying. I really like the sense of movement here!

Great timing, which is not easy when catching a bird in flight, and the background is also fantastic, especially the green of the water combined with the stones. Congratulations!

a wonderful picture composed and rendered with great skill and timing. I like very much the natural scenery, its rich colours and the way it's filled with light and wind. There's superb depth and excellent sharpness and clarity. The movement of the seagull and of the sea have been captured in a very natural and precise way. The layout of perspectives and colours is most effective. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

A superb decisive moment shot capturing the gull just about to land on the yellow post. Good sharpness, colour & saturation. Effective cropping of the sky and a nice warm cold colour contrast too between the cyan sea & yellow post. Tfs!
