Another photo from Hout Bay. The harbour there is very nice but busy and chaotic. So instead of the boats this group of the kids coming from school.

Wiki: Hout Bay is a coastal suburb of Cape Town, South Africa with a mix of neighbourhoods from the very rich to the very poor. It lies in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula and is twenty kilometres south of the Central Business District of Cape Town. The name Hout Bay can refer to the town, or the bay on which it is situated, or the whole valley.
The Hout Bay bay has a whitesand beach, a popular attraction for tourists and locals (and their dogs) alike. Hout Bay has one of the busiest harbours in the Western Cape with an established tuna, snoek and crayfish industry. The harbour is home to the Hout Bay Yacht Club and several restaurants.

There are three roads leading to and from Hout Bay, all over mountain passes. One goes to Llandudno and Camps Bay through the pass between Judas Peak (part of the Twelve Apostles) and Little Lion's Head. This pass is known as "Suikerbossie" (known as the toughest hill on the Cape Argus Cycle Race). Between Hout Bay and Noordhoek there is Chapman's Peak Drive, which was closed for many years and finally reopened in early 2004 with a controversial toll booth. Lastly a road leads to Constantia over the Constantia Nek pass between Vlakkenberg and the back slopes of Table Mountain.

It's always nice to watch people and this is a nice photo with very good light and colours, including generous splashes of red. The surroundings look interesting too. I have friends living in Hout Bay and I have had a standing invitation for nearly 20 years to visit them, but somehow I guess I will never go there.

An attractive daily life composition full of animation. I like the way some of the kids are looking towards the camera whilst others continue on their way. A nicely presented image with good light and saturated colours.

Your picture from South Africa gives a very good idea about the young residents of this seaside city, its landscape and its seaport. A very good composition, bright light, vivid colors, smiling faces of the children, picturesque rocky mount, colorful boats and good quality of the image!

A really cool daily life shot from South Africa, really like this one.
interesting to look at the feet.
two of the boys are not even wearing shoes, and one boy is wearing football (soccer) cleats.
I have to say, the boats are the highlight for me, but obviously not for this shot this time :)

Witaj Malgo
a charming every day scene in the harbor of Hout Bay with the kids so full of life.
Hout Bay itself is a great place to stay, good restaurants and very welcoming people.
The drive over to Constantia is very pleasing and one is rewarded with some of the best restaurants and wines of the cape region in Constantia. Try Groot Constantia for example, superb wine and Restaurant in a gorgeous setting.
Did you know, that Chapman peak drive is used regulary for car adds?
