Well, at least it seems to be it - this small part of Cape Town, seen from the Table Mountain screened behind the Signal Hill. There are no anything after that shore - only the waters of Atlantic Ocean.
Settlers who shored here 400 years ago had to felt very, very, very lonely so far away from Holland.

Funny to see this picture as it looks exactly like one of my own! I can see that they are both taken from exactly the same spot, just that you have slightly more zoom and a quite different light condition. Maybe I will upload mine later :) Wonderful city, well captured! Your note also got me thinking of some signs I saw in Mpumalanga showing walking directions, one of them saying "Holland - too far to walk km"!

Nice view and good idea with this presentation and the curve in the bottom of your view, interesting photogenic result with just a little part of the town and the nice blue sea.

Hi, I thought it would be the photo from Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa. And Punta Arenas is even more South. Never mind. Cape Town is south enough. Spectacular view from Table Mountain. Warm regrads MAlgo

What a sensational shot of a gorgeous view! The curve outward formed by Cape Town and the curving dip in Table Mountain make an intriguing composition. Contrast of the dark foreground with the light background is striking. Excellent work!
