Photographer’s Note
This image was taken just outside Cape Point looking down toward these houses. To the far left top the mountains continue which is the nature reserve taking you to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. This photo was taken standing high above at street level. To the right is a footpath leading down. It is my understanding that there is no motor vehicle access so everything from furniture to food has to be taken down by the path.
I have purposefully not cropped the pathway to give a better understanding of the sheer height from where we were standing. Overall I have added a border and adjusted using shadows and highlights to give more depth to the beach area.
Any comments or ws most appreciated and thank you for stopping by.

It must be an amazing place, quite isolated from the real world. I can see water tanks but I do not see any power lines. Do they have grid power or they run on generators? And about internet and Trekearth?!!!
Your photo is very good and the perspective gives a good idea of the place and how difficult would be to carry heavy items.
Are they holidays homes?

This one is really good. I like the toy-shaped houses and wish if I could pass some time in those houses. Very good composition and color. Any visible human around the shore line could be better. -Abdur Rahman

Hi Lynette, a very nice POV and superb framing here, I like the beach curve very much and very good crop on the top, as the shoreline goes into the corner... Nice colours of the ocean water as well.
Cheers

Hi Lynette. An interesting view on these rather exclusively-situated houses by the coast. Indeed it was good to keep the footpath included; I think you could even have allowed for some more of it by including a little bit more foreground. The houses make colorful and interesting elements amidst the lush green-reddish-brown color combo that the rugged coastal scenery provides. Nice photo.

It does look to be a very dramatic coastline and on first sight it looks like a wonderful place to live, but there seems to be a lot of difficulties. Your POV was excellent, allowing for the diagonal meandering of the shoreline.

Hi my dear friend,
I like very much the composition with the shore line dividing the image into two very interesting parts.
The water looks beautiful Lynette, and I also like the colors and contrast.
Well done!
Kind regards, saludos,
Carlos

Hello Lynette:))))))
U captured a very beautiful and wide view here.
Great angle and POV!
maybe a bit of contrast and cropping at the top would make it a winner!
Greetings and all the best to You,
A.

Hi Lynette,
Nice overlooking PoV to show the place, these wooden houses make me think of northern europe but their diversity of colors as well as the sea color tell it's not there, the place looks quite exclusive and a bit remote as suggested by the footpath being the only way to access them. Nice photo.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Lynette
nice picture, I like the POV a lot and the colors are very nice, I think a white frame would look better than a black one in this case but that is just IMO. The houses add interest too.
good job

Beautiful place, good picture! You make me remember my holiday in Pringle Bay, in front of the beach you posted.
I like the way you described the path. The real subject of this photo I think is that no car is allowed to carry water food furniture and... people to these houses. But they can enjoy their beach alone!

Hi Lynette,
What a view!!! Wonder if it's summerhouses or used throughout the year. They must have the most fantastic sunset or sunrise. I like the way the picture is devided in two by the rocks and the ocean (with sharks?...:O))
Have a nice weekend.
