Photographer's Note
Maybe the place doesn't look specially spectacular but we made a long way to see it. It is the place where the waters of two oceans meet - Atlantic and Indian.
Cape Agulhas is the southernmost point in the continent of Africa. It is located at 34°50′00″S 20°00′09.15″E in the Overberg region, 170 kilometres southeast of Cape Town. The cape was named by Portuguese navigators, "Cape of Needles" — after noticing that around the year 1500 the direction of magnetic north (and therefore the compass needle) coincided with true north in the region. The official dividing line between the Indian and Atlantic oceans is defined to pass through Cape Agulhas.
The sea off Cape Agulhas is notorious for winter storms and mammoth rogue waves, which can range up to 30 metres and can sink even large ships. These conditions are caused by a number of factors.
These hazards have combined to make the cape notorious among sailors. The coast here is littered with wrecks: Arniston (1815), Cooranga (1964), Elise (1879), European (1877), Federal Lakes (1975), Geortyrder (1849), Gouritz (1981), and Gwendola (1968) are just a few of the vessels lost in the proximity of the "Cape of Needles." Owing to the hazards and following the loss of several vessels, notably the Arniston, a lighthouse was built in 1848. The lighthouse now holds a museum and a small rustic restaurant. (After Wikipedia)
I wanted to climb the lighthouse and to see the view. But it was just ten minutes after the close time. The women were still there but advised me to come in the morning.

Ciao e buon fine settimana
Romano

An interesting shot where the landmark itself - the oceanic dividing line - isn't actually visible, Malgo! The light blue water and well lit rocks certainly are, though, and make for a beautiful ocean shot, as does the thin band of darker blue water offshore. Simple and well-realized image.

Czesc Malgorzata,
Ja wlasnie wrocilem z kolejnej naszej "podrozy" do Manchesteru do polskiego konsulatu.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
M

Hi Malgo,
The colors are amazing! Lovely dynamic scene. Just the other day I was watching an interview with a huge actress of Romanian culture who returned from South Africa with great impressions....and I can see why...
Have a nice Sunday.

Hello Malgorzata,
A wonderful seascape photo! The colors of the oceans and the sky, as well as contrasting combinations of lights and shadows on the rocks are simply beautiful. Perfectly well done!
Best regards,
Sergiy
