Photographer’s Note
Taken one early morning in The Transkei region of South Africa after having driven cross country for an hour to get to the chosen fishing spot.
The chap carrying our gear was called Courage and we hired him as our Ghillie [fishing guide] and he put us onto the best spots, got us up in the mornings etc etc

Hi Matt, great shot from my home turf. You've captured the atmosphere of early morning Transkei here. The light is a bit harsh and tends to wash out the left side - perhaps a closer crop will get rid of some of it. Nice one anyway! (Hope you caught something!)

Ryno

Hi Matthew, Interesting subject, as Ryno said though, the light is challenging. Looks like the harshness may have been, in part, sharpening, as some of the bright spots look as though they may have been caused by oversharpening and there are jpeg artifacts up the rod. You could try sharpening in a layer and masking areas where it is too much, whilst retaining it where you want it. cheers, Steve
