[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Between Kenton on Sea and Alexandria lies this shipwreck in South Africa. It is right by the parking lot, so good place if you have to carry a lot of gear (like me for ex). Went there for sunrise. Before the sun was up I used velvia and provia. Once up, witrh strong shadows, I used Tmax. I processes the B&W at home faster than the lab here for colour. I hope I will get some nice shots back, and if so, I will be happy to post some. not sure of shutter speed here...
schneider super angulon 210mm

no filter
slight back tilt for depth of field control, no other movement.

It's a well-captured texture of sand
escaping to water on the horizon
and a well-focused composition.

Hi Stephane,
Great surface of the sand, the shapes give a nice effect with the help of the day light.. The shipwreck looks nice too,
Congratulations,
ReLa

congratulations, great shot!
i like very much the shadow/light of the boat..
regards

Hi Stephane
A very nice capture of tracks and textures, ideal for b+w. Although it seems quite empty in the bottom half, the shadows in the intriguing grooves of the sand certainly make up for that. Very nice indeed, regards, Casper

wonderful shapes of the sand in the foreground and the spoiled boat in the top with the horizont line not so much visible. I liked this compo cause its simplicty and its graphism. nice work

hugs

Bonjour Stéphane,
Compo superbe ! Les zébrures sur le sable donnent un relief incomparable que seul le noir et blanc peut mettre en valeur à ce point. L'épave est judicieusement placée.
C'est beau.
