Photographer's Note
Another shot taken in Storm’s River Village. This is a view of the colourful exterior of the Elvis and Marilyn tribute ‘diner’. The neon ice cream cone seems a fitting decorative feature for an ‘all American’ diner.

Hi Rosemary,
i always thought that to be able to obtain a so fine artistic combination, with such beautiful colours, from something utterly ordinary and, it must be said, aesthetically not very nice, denotes an outstanding propensity for these kind of things. This chromatic mixture is really very eye-catching.

Hello Rosemary,
A well framed image, resulting in an excellent graphical composition. It makes very good use of the geometric lines offered by the juxtaposed roofs and the build details. Enhanced by the saturated colours and very good clarity.

Good Morning Rosemary,
Oh, not your usual type of shot at all but that is not a negative! This is vibrant, edgy, delightfully composed and tremendously eye-catching.
Brian would definitely applaud your insight into this!
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Good morning Rosemary,
Being blessed with no short term memory whatsoever, my ageing brain somehow manages to retain some distant memories remarkably well. So I reckon this picture was taken from outside the building where this was taken - am I right?
Another fine picture from your recent diversion into "graphic" and very colourful images. As I said before, I love this genre of photograph but I just hope that this does not mean that you will be relinquishing your wonderful Namibian landscapes and wildlife pictures!
A fine simple and bold composition with even bolder splashes of colour. The strong lighting has brought out all the textures of the different surfaces and, as always, the details and sharpness are exquisite.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Rosemary
I would have a field day in a place as colourful as this. Love the lines and sharp detail in this wonderful crop. I love the complexity of the neon sign set amongst the bold and flat surfaces of its setting. Very effective and attractive artistic imagery!
Have a great week - Brian.

Bonjour Rosemary,
Une belle composition graphique et colorée ou les formes et les couleurs se rencontrent de façon aléatoire pour former un tout agréable au regard.

Hello Rosemary,
A super set of your latest three images. This is my favourite. The bold colours and variety of lines and shapes give a contemporary composition. Reminds me of some American diners which I hope we will see plenty of on our trip from Chicago to LA along Route 66 in April/May (with photoventures).
Best wishes, Ann

Hi Rosemary,
This is really a cool and fun shot. I am sitting here trying to find a primary colour that is not here, and I can't :). A very simple scene but a really pleasing one. I can only imagine how many people pass by this wonderful scene every day and never looks up to take in this absolute riot of colour.
All the best
Noel

Hi Rosemary,
Again a lovely colored detail. That building must be a real point of attraction in the city. Well taken.

Hello dear Rosemary
Oh yes I remember the internal shots you took of this diner. How strange to see something so American, done in the South African style. Again the stark colours are a feast (as no doubt is the icecream). I can imagine it would be a welcome treat in all that heat, and here after today's heat, would be perfect. I've got cravings for icecream now. Wonderful "gelato" type colours, good tight framing and play of light and shadow.
Warmest regards, have a beautiful day

Hi Rosemary
A stunning graphic effect shot with its bold and vivid colors that difficut to ignore! It's a very creative an almost 2D shot, something different abound of strong lines and shapes taken from impressive shooting angle rendering an outstanding contrast. It's perfectly composed, exposed and the attention to detail is incredble revealing the 'close beauty' that not many are able to interpret and to see thru the naked eye. This is an intriguing shot indeed and I am very impressed. Congrats.
Kind regards

Hi Rosemary,
Looking at the first page of your South African pictures, I had to smile at the coordination of colours between this one and and "A profusion of colours" which I have just commented.
The subject and lines are completely different, but the colours are all there : Bright red, purple and yellow against the blue sky!
Lovely close-up detail presented graphically.
All the best.
Marie-Louise.
