Photographer's Note

This unusual sand sculpture on the beach was only about 10cm high. It had rained the night before and this one section of wet sand remained as the rest of the sand was blown away, carving out a most unusual feature.

I attempted to remove some of the noise but it started to lose the detail of the sand.

Unfortunately, as I got up from taking this photo, the monolith crumbled. I was devastated, but relieved that I can captured it on film!
