Photographer’s Note
Another pic I took at the Sun City conference, this time at one of the functions we had in the evening.
I kinda like the way the lead singer is overexposed in the picture, because I feel that it centers the attention on him, yet he remains anonymous. What do you think?
Anyway, the shot was hand-held at 1/6th of a second so I was lucky to get this. I cropped in PS but didn't change the color in any way.

Eindelik terug op TE. I like the ambience and colours here. The admosphere is great. However, I would corp-off the two sides next to the vertical band stand - this will improve the composition. The problem with the leadsinger's exposure is that he should really be in focus and have detailsince he is the centre of intrest in this picture - just a bit too soft and washed-out as the phohotographic term goes. A very difficult picture to try, especially handheld at the slow speed.

I think it needs a little bit of a crop at the sides. You picked a good exposure, there is enough detail in the crowd and the singer stands out as you mention. There's a lot of flare coming off the over-stage lights, but you can't do much about that.
