Photographer’s Note
In the Kruger National Park animals are living as freely as its possible. The park it self is larger than Israel acordning to the ranger following us on our last trip there. From the roads you can only see approx 6% of the park. If you look 100 meters on each side.
Here you can se an Impala drinking water just beside the hungry Nile croc. Not far from Lower Sabie. oming from two different directions meeting at the water front. The green colour comes from the many Hippos living in this perticular pond. By the way look at the smile of the croc...

I am sure they were well fed at the time. The reflection of the impala is perfect and the colours look very natural. The Kruger is high on my list as it is the Etosha Pan in Namibia. Likely, it will happen next year! Well done.

This is a fantastic scene. I like the crocodile, very still with his typical smile.
Very interesting

Hej Stefan,
A truly marvellous picture! It is both a high quality photo and has a unique content. The impala, with its reflection beside those smiling crocodiles, just outstanding! How does it feel, leaving the (probably) warm midwinter in South Africa to come home to this cold and rainy midsummer here in Sweden?
Men trevlig midsommar, trots vädret

Hej Stefan,
:-)) excellent scene! and, what I especially like about this shot, is these creatures' synchronism when drinking :)
To be honest, I did not notice the crocodiles at the first look!! these guys know how to camouflage themselves (even if they smile :))
A really interesting, wonderful capture! Very good natural colours and a very good composition which shows several interesting "objects" in one shot.
Ha en trevlig Midsommar! :)
You're back to Sweden specially for the Midsommar time?
Best regards,
Elena

Hello Stefan,
This is really drinking on the edge !
The blue green colour of the pond and the reflections of the animals in it are very beautiful.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Stefan,
This is quite a situation, with a built-in excitement factor!
And that croc is indeed fully grown, wow............
My guess is the impala has full control of the situation, as the predator is well visible and causes no alert action!
Good documentary...

Hej Stefan,
och hoppas du får en trevlig fortsättning på den svenska sommaren.
This is another one of these dream-shots. It took me a couple of seconds to see the crocs, I only marvelled at the parallelity of the impala and the bird, standing the same way, being refleced the same way, and enjoying the water peacefully together. Then I saw that dreadful smile. I can only hope the scene remained peaceful and that the impala had time to leave safely.
Hälsningar,
Gert
