Photographer's Note
Some more wild horses. This time, I managed to get a whole lot closer and found them at a watering hole I had not seen before. The mare on the left is heavily pregnant - she was moving uncomfortably while I was taking these, as though she were about to give birth. Notice how unkempt the mane is on her. The young colt on the right looks a bit undernourished, which is not normal for these wild horses - most of them look well fed! Hope you enjoy-:)

Nice shot Judy. I have an idea for a workshop. If you enable it I can show you what I had in mind.

Nice shot. I love horses and I envy you for shooting wild horses. I like that the mare is not drinking at that moment, but is standing in a position that we can obviously see that she is pregnant. The contrast of the green against the colt is really lovely.
I think that Nina Ludwig's WS let us see better these horses (except for the tale of the mare that is cut)

Lovely photo. The two horses are nicely positioned and stand out well against the grass and rock. You are lucky to see such things.

What a nice shot, well composed and interesting with this pair of horses at the water hole.
I didn't even know there was wild horses anymore.

The overexposed background bothers me here, and the workshop by Nina manages to correct most of that. The contrast is not what it should be either, and I would also have cropped closer to the horses. A faster shutter speed would also have frozen the action more, because I think that the slight movement visible on the pregnant horse is not right for this shot. Otherwise it's great. I've seen these wild horses quite a few times before, and I just love them!

Wonderful capture - the warm brown color of the horses (and the water) what makes this photo special - very nice work Judy.

Very nice composition. I agree with the higher contrast in Nina's workshop; that improves an already good shot. Well seen.
