Photographer’s Note
As we were leaving the Mkuze Game Reserve in the Northern part of Kwazulu Natal we passed this giraffe enjoying his breakfast over and over and over again ;-)
Unfortunately he was standing with the sun behind him so the light was a bit hard to controle and I decided to convert the image into b/w to better bring out the details.

Hello Maria,
What a beautiful animal! Funny picture too! I love the way its mouth is half open! :D

Great shot Maria!
The vertical panoramic cropping to this shot really suits the giraffe. The shallow DOF has provided a nice bokeh. However what I really want to know is- what font is that? (I really like it!).
Cheers,
- Dan

Hi
I like your choice to display this photo in black and white. Sometimes we get too concerned about colour.
Your pic is also very well focused.
Well done
