Photographer’s Note
The majority of my short stay in South Africa was spent at the Cathedral Peak Hotel, located in the heart of the Draakensburg mountains. The hotel takes it's name from the highest peak in this region, which can be reached by an excellent hike of 9 hours.
The surrounding countryside is filled with the most picturesque of mountains, crystal clear rivers and beautiful waterfalls.
This view is taken from the deck which surrounds the old hotel, and looks over the hotel's rose garden.
