Historic Giant's Castle Nature Reserve, home of the eland and the majestic bearded vulture, lies in the Central Drakensberg region of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage Site. Giant's Castle hutted camp is situated on a gassy plateau among the deep valleys running down from the face of the High Drakensberg, offering glorious views for hikers and mountain climbers.
It was a hike for 2 and ½ kms to reach the caves which displayed the famous rock paintings and this was shot while on that hike.

Wow - this is a place and landscape that I have heard little about. Unfortunately, the first things that come to mind when I think about S. Africa are Gandhi, Apartheid, Mandela and cricket, so a beautiful landscape is indeed an eyeopener. I'm going to guess that you used a polarizer on the lens - the clouds look dramatic!
