Male bull elephant in the Pilanesberg game reserve, South Africa. The difference in the size of his tusks relates to his preference for using one more than the other, very similar to humans being right or left handed.
Amazingly the bull didn't seem to mind the close encounter with our vehicle and just continued to eat happily... I love the way that an animal so large and sturdy could appear so unsteady on his feat, with the photo showing perfectly how he looked like he was about to fall over!
