Photographer's Note
These lavish 18-storey office towers cost R600million ($87million) to build and were completed in 2010.
“Picture two sculpted towers linked by a vertical atrium. Bridges spiral upwards in a fan-like fashion creating a dramatic internal environment,” describes Orelowitz the architect.

Hi Wanda,, could it also be termed waste? when the poverty is all around why the need for such opulance? However this does not take away from your finely cropped image. creating a work of art. I see Andre posted a similar one, but was not as cropped..
For what it stands for it is certainly a great piece of art and well captured. Hope all well with you and Joburg today. I am looking forward to my visit. Rich

Hello Wanda,
You have cropped this to emphasise the strong graphic shapes and lines and taken advantage of the beautiful light. This is a very crisp and enjoyable image. It certainly looks opulent - South Africa is full of contrasts.

Hi Wanda
Nice close up of these skyscrapers at the blue hour for a graphical and very esthetic result
I like this mix of lines, shapes, mosaics and the warm colors provided by the sunset light
Have a nice day
Best to you

Hello Wanda,
Fun to see your photo and the one of André sharing to type of point of view and framing.
This building is very nice and in the close frame, you evidenced the different tones, lines and curves. The blue hour sky built a nice color contrast.
Yves.

Hi Wanda,
Same place as your neighbour Andre's photo, but a closer view on this very nice modern architecture. Light and details are excellent. Sharpness is perfect. Very good work !

This is a very interesting architecture, with strong graphical shapes and curve, more like an abstract sculpture than a building. Your closer up POV give that impression even more than one that I have seen from Andre. I like the reflected sunset light on the windows.
Looking at this image, there seem to be a little influence from Andre, it look a little more like his style as well as your own.

hi wanda,
as a lover of architectural shots I cannot but stare at this photo and marvel - the framing and the details, as well as the light, are excellent. the image is as crisp as could be and the white light of the gentle curves gives the building a special character.
on a personal note, like Ricx and Ann I think of the money the building must have cost and wonder if it could have not been spent on a more social project... but that's a different story :)
have a good Sunday,
c.

Hi dear Wanda
This is such a stunning piece of photography. The graphism is superb but above all it is how you've composed and exposed the image. It's absolutely luminous, a real treasure. Congratulations and I look forward to more.
Warm regards to my fellow Nick Cave admirer

A good example of a modern architecture - pleasant and cheerful, grotesque, if we want!
The reflections are wonderful and the lines are beautiful!
Thanks Wanda and hope to see you soon!

Bonsoir Wanda,
Ils sont vraiment magnifiques, ces édifices. Le plan vertical est bien choisi et la lumière fait briller les carreaux de verre pour un effet très réussi.
