Kurrichane thrush (Tardus libonyana) (22cm)
This little fellow is found in open woodland often near streams and rivers. Spends most of its time on the ground searching for insects and worms etc. Will even accept fruit as shown in the image. Sometimes found in sububan gardens.
Taken with Vivitar AF at 210mm setting. ISO 400.

OUTSTANDING PHOTO. Well captured. The bird is beautifully clear and crisp and I love the contrasting colours of the fruit (paw paw?) in front of it. The fact that you caught it with its mouth open is excellent. Well done

I think you might have disturbed this one, and now it is shouting at you :) Wonderfully sharp photo with lots of detail on the feathers. It must be very juicy fruit and he do not look as if he want to share!
