Photographer’s Note
The first Raadsaal with its sturdy walls, mud floor, small windows and thatched roof is the oldest surviving building in Bloemfontein and the only example of the pioneer building style remaining in the Free State Capital.
I desturated all except the post pillar box, to accentuate the importance of mail as the main source of communication in those days.

This shot is very well composed- everything is geared towards the postbox and your post processing compliments this well. A very nice reflection on history with a subtle twist of colour. Well done

A fine and clear presentation in this shot, Mark. The symmetrical view of the Raadsaal entrance is well captured with good sharpness and some nice shadow effects you got from the sunlight. The desaturation technique was a nice idea, as it emphasizes the red post box not only for the reason you mention in your note, but also as being the one item that falls out of the symmetry. Well done!
