Hola Rolando,
Bela estréia no TE, seja bem-vindo. A foto está ótima, com boa conversão para o BW e o formato também ficou muito bom.
Parabéns.
Marcelo Almeida

Nice photo...really different. I like a few things about this photo including:

1) The focal point being the gun across the man's shoulder. His face is too dark and leads the eye to the gun.
2) The smoke in his mouth which is really prominent against the darkness of his face.
3) The man in the background who looks like he is laughing and thinking - hah, hah, he is going to kill you in about 5 seconds.
4) The sepia color and crop.
5) The composition with the man right in the middle. An "in your face" kind of photo that doesn't care about any photographic rules like thirds or focus on the eyes or any of that crap.

Great work.
John

A very strong and powerful image.

How did you ever get here? Wasn't it dangerous to take a photo of these man with their guns?

Hola Rolando

An unusual subject for a not so usual destination for TrekEarth (only two pages of photographs). It's good to see this kind of picture. All your choices (sepia, cropping) seem to work here, you caught him a "nice" attitude. Perhaps a closer shot could have been also intersting.
Olivier.

Good shot...

Hola Rolando. Gracias Rolando :-)

Roberto

Strong image. Bravo.
Choice of crop really adds to it.
Brian

Great, if not incredible photo...
I won't even ask about the circumstances of taking it...
It's gutsy photo...
A photo with the balls bigger than the head of that idiot standing in front of you...

Freedom fighter...
How many of them in Africa ?

This photo has all the reasons in the world to exist and ro burn our eyes (quite a rarity !)

Stay vibrant, Rolando

Hi Roland, Your comment on another portrait led me to see this photo. He is a tough looking guy, with weapon ready. Ideal for TE to see something we will never see for ourself. The choice of sepia colour is an effective one. You are a brave man to go here. TFS. Murray.

Dangerous! :)

Hej Rolando,
Länge sedan du postade nu. Hoppas allt är bra.
Ser fram emot nya bilder från dig snart.
Hälsningar
/Stefan
