Beautiful! Love the low angled light, the row of crows, and the donkey's stare. The cables hanging down is a fantastic addition. Normally I would intuitively exclude the cable, but then I would have missed this wonderful composition where the animal and the birds are placed unmistakably in an urban and mechanized context.

I cannot believe I am only the second in praising your shot again... for it is a very good one, now no weapon or soldier present, but a gentle donkey with its magnificient shadow in the sunset, plus the crows. Wonderful colours, a sense of another world here, excellent composition. This string in the right just puts the cherry on the cake!

Without the wire and birds, this would be very ordinary. They bring some kind of bizarre mood... the colour also is not so rich as usual, which adds to the strangeness. It's an unusual one.

Shot beyond description. Is it still Somaliland, or is it a quasi-SalvadoreDali'stic surreal world we know nothing about.
Somehow, deep in my heart I have this strange feeling that photo safari in all those exotical places is an easy way of collecting praises. Everything out there is kinda "photographical". At least for our unacustommed eyes. Look at those photos from i.e.India.
Almost all of them are pure marvels. The orange lighting, yellowish sands, dark olive faces...autoplay themself into our minds.
Don't worry...You're number one regardless.
To visit your side is like going to church.
