Photographer’s Note
Figures in the Sand. Twilight on the boulders and beach, La Digue island, Seychelles. A 32 second exposure at ISO 400 to catch the evening glow. The light was somewhat less intense than what you see here- the long exposure has saturated the colors. I didn't expect this to turn out because the tide was washing over my tripod legs that were very vulnerable to movement sitting in the wet sand. I got lucky on this one!

Hi Michael,
What can I say? It is simply sublime at all levels and it grows to dream and to escape. It's funny, It reminds me the root of a tree plunging into the earth !
Good continuation and thanks for sharing,

Hi Michael,
fantastic mood here. The long exposure blur and the peculiar red glow gives the whole scene a attractive out-of-this-world feel. Congrats!

Just fabulous, when I first saw it I thought it was hills in the mist or giant boulders or ancient tree roots. The POV works very, very well and the light saturation works superbly, with gorgeous colours.

Hello Michael,
Well you definitely managed extremely well in the wet sand, the result being a superb image. The extra long exposure has created a wonderful soft, fabric-like look to the sea, and the sky has just that hint of orange to give it life. Very well managed overall.
Cheers Grant

Hi Mike, I am 100% sure this was not taken on Earth! If it was then it must have been in another geologic era 4.5 billion years ago, it resembles the 'Ur-soup' if still not then you must be a neon green teletubby! ;> ...thanks for sharing...alex
