Photographer’s Note

Ok let's go for a summer shot, a shiny one on this such awfull weather we have here in Paris this afternoon.
I love the coconut tree that want same thing as tourists : go to swim in warm sea :)
Wish you a good week end

Salut Seb
Bon week end,

Hi there,
What an amazing shot - so simple, but so effective.
I love the bright colours, the contrast of the sky and the sea and the way that the tree's trunk leads you into the image.
Very, very nice. Magnifique!

hi Sebastien,
it's raining cats and dogs in NYC today, and on top of that it's cold and very, very windy, my big umbrella got broken - the wind simply tied it in a knot... so I'm not going to elaborate what I think about people teasing poor souls like me with photos like this :)))
love the colours here, particularly the emerald blue of the sea, and the perspective, it's so simple, yet so eloquent - who can resist the call of that magic clear water. superb shot in all respects.
best,
Kristine

This place is like a paradise on earth! I only wish it was closer to where I live, because then I could visit it. Great idea to photograph looking straight down the tree trunk, which leads us right into the scene and over the beach. Great sky too. Well done!

Salut Seb,

Salut 100PompesTerror,

You never ever listen to me, do you, Seb? The honeymoon is over, come back to us, forget it, it never existed, there is no such place as Seychelles, this photo sucks, islands are dangerous (remember Lost?), the colours are dull, the sky is boring, cities are nice, I love winter, these waters are swarming with sharks and the sand sticks on your shorts forever. :)))))))

Excellent PoV, Sebastien, bringing in frame strong an unusual perspective of the tree longing for a swim, the cloud lines in the sky work well to underline the sense of direction.
Cheers

Hello Sebastien,
An amazing photo that the thumbnails don't do justice to. This is very powerful and dynamic composition (especially with all of the concentric rings around the fallen palm tree). The sharpness is outstanding! I like the way that ultra wide angle lenses distort the perspective of the clouds to our advantage. Great work!

Salut Sebastien,

This shot would make such a nice advertisement of this place, just give me the name of the travel agency that used it ;-)
Very good POV, indicating the lenght of the tree trunk. The leaves and the clouds make us feel this warm, but fresh breeze...
Did you consider removing this rod from the frame? Without it the view would be even better (if possible ;-))
Well done,
best regards
