I took this photo while on holiday in Beau Vallon - after spending the summer volunteering - doing marine conservation work in the Seychelles. After my work was done, I took 10 days for purely recreational diving. There are a 3 small wrecks off the coast of Beau Vallon - on the island of Mahe. One is the Dredger - which seemed to be completely encased with yellow snapper.
The other wreck site was the "Twin Barges". This is one of those 2 small wrecks (barges).
The Seychelles is a small island nation located in the Indian Ocean northeast of Madagascar and about 1,600 km (1,000 miles) east of Kenya. The number of islands in the archipelago is often given as 115 but the Constitution of the Republic of Seychelles lists 155. |
