J'ai été assez absente de TE ces dernières semaines mais je vois que je reviens juste à temps pour voir ta première image des Seychelles. C'est sûr que cela ressemble au paradis (bon, pour ceux qui aime la plage et les cocotiers évidemment) et tu as même demandé à ta copine de poser sur ce sable blanc... tout cela est magnifique, mais tu aurais tout de même pu donner un petit coup de nettoyage à ton capteur qui en as bien besoin! ;o)

Salut Sebastien - I cannot critique this - it's just too amazing. So very lucky you are to have been there! I sit here... in the cold... dreaming. *sigh* The human element in the scene completes this shot. It takes it from a beautiful beach scene to a dream! superbe photo, avec la jeune femme assise, le petit detail qui change tout.... mais y a aussi beaucoup de poussieres sur le capteur (les changements d 'objectifs sur la plage, ca craint); Ca peut se corriger sous adobe photoshop avec l'outil Tampon de duplication... parce que ca casse un peu l ambiance...

Colors and sharpness are incredible! The lonely woman sit on the beack adds a lot to the picture, by giving a good reference. The water is amazingly clear! Excellent job!

great landscape picture.
POV is perfect chosen. The rock in the foreground built a natural frame. Colors are beautiful.
Just one suggestion, try to remove the sensor dust.

C'est une vision tellement idyllique qu'on se dit que ça ne peut pas être vrai! Remarque, si j'avais eu l'idée de mettre ce genre d'image en poster au-dessus de mon lit, je me demande si mes amis ne m'auraient pas reproché d'avoir des goûts kitsch... A voir ce genre de photo, c'est mes goûts des vacances 'kitsch' qui sont réveillées!

Alors ? De retour du Paradis... et puis selon toute vraisemblance tu étais en merveilleuse compagnie...
Ceci étant c'est ce qui s'appelle une carte postale et puis je trouve que tu as bien fait d'inclure au premier plan une partie des rochers... J'aime la texture de l'eau probablement en raison de la longue exposition...
Par contre pour le titre il me semble que tu as eu toute les vacances pour en trouver des mieux que ça... Mais bon c'est un détail...
Peut-être aurons nous droit dans les jours à venir à une photo d'un bain de minuit dans les règles de l'art avec la demoiselle parfaitement immobile...(;

Quelle belle image de reve, Je me souviens encore de cet endroit avec emotion, comme de toutes les Seychelles d'ailleurs. Un endroit merveilleux avec ces formations granitiques partout et une si belle lumiere. Ca fait un bout de temps, mais a ce que je vois pas de constructions devastatrices au moins a cet endroit. La Digue en particulier etait un lieu si reculé encore avec des chars a boeufs. Pour le capteur t'es bon pour un coup d'aspirateur :) malheureusement ca a le don de ne faire que deplacer ces foutus poussieres...

Les Seychelles maintenant...on ne se refuse rien. En ce qui nous concerne, on va se contenter d'admirer le paradis terrestre. Bel effet longue pose et peut-être HDR (?) pour une photo absolument magnifique. Les taches du capteur cassent un tout petit peu la magie....allez, courage...le tampon t'attend.

What an idyllic scene! There are two things that I really like about this. The first is that the colour is really amazing, with the delicate blues and pinks that are very beautiful. The second is that the photo is well balanced, particularly the rock on one side and the girl on the beach on the other side of the frame. Superb!

Hello Sebastien,

This shot is great at that time of day, lovely POV, and detail, really well balanced as most of your pictures in your gallery.

The only minor problem to my eye is some black dots caused by the high aperture value from the dust in front of your sensor.

This is the major problem to dSLR cameras that come with no auto clean unit, and dust gets everywhere every time you change lenses.

Assuming your camera's dust can't get out, a trick to avoid it is to use an ND8 filter and reduce the aperture value,
another way is to use clone stamp tool in PS, and copy paste from a near area like I did in the WS.

Hum!!! now I know when you disappear for a while you are at some tropical island having a nice piece of rest, last year Mexico this year Seychelles, well bad taste you don't have for sure!:)
At least you always bring us very suggestive photos like this pearl of natural beauty with you wife posing well and giving this human youch to the wild beauty of this stunning place.
What I like here the mix of colours coming from the water and the contrast with the vvegetation and the beach colour.
The weather looks just a little bit better than in Portugal at this time, where we have heavy showers, storms and so on :(

Whoa! You've been to paradise, my friend! After exposing yourself too much to suffocating cityscapes, this must have been definitely what you needed! ))) Apparently, you are not only good at contemporary themes, but also at landscapes. This can easily be printed in a travel brochure. The presence of a young, pretty girl is essential in such shots and naturally you have one in your photo. )))

j'ai raté celle la en route , encore meilleur que l'autre à mon gout , nottament grace à l'inclusion de la femme dans ta photo ( au passage , elle à l'air drolement belle dis donc! petit chanceux! Ah les seychelles! lol) , et puis j'aime aussi ton cadrage judicieux incluant les rochers , et pour finir , toujours ces superbes couleurs douce qui font le charme de ce paysage!

I understand this photograph to be of exceptional quality, so good in fact that it practically leaves the viewer salivating for that well earn island holiday. Your shot encompasses wonderful components; the layering effects generated by the placement of rocks and boulders between the foreground and the horizon are delightful elements. The texture of the abrasive rock in the foreground contrasts with the silken water and dusky sky! The lush foliage hangs boldly between the sand, sea and sky. The long exposure has allowed for that small amount of motion blur to the fronds of the swaying palms, emphasizing the presence of an afternoon sea breeze. And your posed subject has remained remarkably still during the exposure, mesmerized by the ocean. A glorious place. You have captured the true essence of the Seychelles.

Magnifique photo de la plus célèbre plage des Seychelles. Belle composition et ambiance du soir parfaitement rendue. La couleur de l'eau est splendide ainsi que le nuage rose. La jolie silhouette sur la plage rappèle bien qu'on est sur une plage de rêve (elle n'a pas remarqué qu'il n'y avait plus de soleil pour bronzer ;-)
Il faudrait juste songer à nettoyer ton capteur ou en tout cas retoucher toutes les tâches avant de publier.

Exquisitely composed and well executed. The long exposure (longer than I would have believed would work) smooths out the sea without distorting it or anything else. And the placement of the elements is beautifully done. I do have a small problem with the clouds in the sky; the edges don't look quite right. In a lesser picture I would ignore it, but here it touches on the perfection of the shot.

Très très belle photo, la fille permet de se concentrer sur... euh... je disais quoi déjà?

J'ai remarqué que tu as le même problème de poussière sur le capteur au delà de f/11... Alors pourquoi pousser aussi loin? Techniquement parlé, à partir de f/16 de toutes manières ça ne sert plus à rien vu les capacités du EOS350D.
