Anse Major

A small secluded and fantastic beach, on the northwest coast of Mahé.
This beach has everything you can dream in a tropical beach: white sand, warm turquoise sea, surrounded by tropical vegetation and a special touch of a fresh water river, that flows to the beach and forms a small fresh water lagoon very good for refreshing.

To go to this fantastic beach you have two options, go by boat or follow a fantastic (1h30m) trek path by the seaside.
To reach the starting point of this trek path “Take the road which goes from Beau-Vallon, through Bel Ombre to Danzil, or take the SPTC bus route 21 (Victoria - Bel Ombre), alighting at the Danzil terminus. Follow the road up the hill for about 200m. Your car can be left here. Take the right fork in the road, passing through the small but expanding settlement of Danzil following the yellow route markers”

After an hour and half of treking you will have the first view of this beach, there is a small shade with a small table (This Photo was taken from there), stop relax and be amazed of this fantastic view.

After a couple of hours alone on this beach we gladly accept the offer of a local boy (that had just passed by) to take us back on his small boat for a small fee ( of course ). For an extra fee he took us to see other fantastic beachs nearby only accessed by sea, like Anse D’Riz and others without any known name.

I higly recommend that every one on vacation in Mahé follow this trek path, and try to sea the other small bays, accessed only by boat.

Pedro, que bela enseada! Wow! Tudo que eu mais gosto na vida! Ainda não conheço Seychelles, mas quando um dia tiver a felicidade de visitá-las esta praia é tudo o que espero aproveitar. Você a captou sob um ótimo ângulo e as cores estão maravilhosas! A textura das pedras, os diversos tons de verde e os azuis refrescantes são um convite à conhecer este paraíso. Maravilha!!

very brilliant sight of a paradise beach. The colours are fully saturated and i think it's a good choice in this kind of exotic shots.
Not accidentally all the tourist poster of Seychelles I've ever seen have this kind of stunning blues and greens

Olá Pedro, já tivestes nuns sítios paradisíacos bem espectaculares. Esta imagem está divinal. PDV excelente e cores fortes muito atraentes. Saltava já para aquela praia e provava aquela cor de água incrível. Muito bonita.

Great note to accompany this stunning photo. There are so few secluded beaches that remain, and this one looks like one of a kind. I hope one day to visit this beach, using your directions! The colours are simply beautiful.
