Cette jeune fille est de l'ethnie des bediks, région bandafassi, sud Sénégal;

Les Bédik vivent dans une région peu touchée par l'islamisation. Les Bédik ont des contacts avec d'autres ethnies minoritaires dans le pays (Bassari, Sérères), parlent leur propre langue et se sont constitué une religion qui associe animisme et éléments de catholicisme.

Leurs ancêtres seraient les familles Keita et Camera venues du Mali suite à une guerre initiée par Alpha Yaye venant du Fouta Djallon

This young girl is of bediks ethnos group, area bandafassi, southern Senegal;
Bédik live in an area little touched by l' Islamization.
Bédik have contacts with other minority ethnos groups in the country (Bassari, Sérères), speak their own language and constituted a religion which associates animism and elements of Catholicism.
Their ancestors would be the families Keita and Camera come from Mali following a war initiated by Alpha Yaye coming from Fouta Djallon

Bonjour Francine,
Je suis d'accord avec Daniel, tes portraits sont superbes et tu as de quoi en faire une magnifique exposition.
Celle-ci n'échappe pas à la règle, avec cette lumière qui vient de côté illuminer le visage de cette belle jeune fille.

Your portraits of children are always a interesting and never boring. Like this one especially because of wonderful factures of her shin, hairs, necklace and thatch and because of the straw (?) she is keeping in her teeth as if taken from a thatch.
And really - beautiful face :))

This portrait is also amazing. The sight light shows all the structure of her face and the picture gets almost a 3D effect.

Another smart portrait. Fine composition, but I would prefer faster lens here. f/6.3 seems to be too much.

Hi Francine,
Great off centre composition and I like that we can see the grass roof of the hut in the background. Cool expression she has with the stick in her mouth. Nice black and white portrait of this young lady.
