Photographer’s Note
This photo of a bird was actually shot in Kololi in The Gambia, but because TE doesn't know The Gambia I chose to select the neighbouring country, Senegal. In September 2003 my girlfriend and I spent 2 weeks in Senegal and The Gambia. Anyway, this bird was shot during our breakfast in the Kairaba Hotel in Kololi. These birds (he was not alone!) were always on the lookout to snatch something from your plate. They were very busy jumping from pillar to pillar and I was lucky to shoot this one. I like the 'angry' look in his eye. It's like he's saying: "GIMME!".

Very sharp picture of the funny bird. He/she really looks angry. The bird's position is really nice. The texture on the pillar looks a little flat though. Did you use flash?

Hey this is really, have you thought about posting it on Trek Nature? The quality of the shot is very good, as is the composition, POV and DOF.
