A savanna taxi at the city of Dakar, the capital of Senegal with estimated 3 million people. Dakar taxis are yellow and white and all taxi fares are negotiated beforehand and will require bargaining. But a lot of people couldn't pay the price, so these taxis are very often the only possiblity to go from one village to the next.

Dobar motiv i trenutak ...
Dobar trenutak snimka, lepa fotografija, koze daju car snimku i mestu.
Prijatano popodne i lep vikend, zeli vam Paja.
A good day in the afternoon.
Good motivation and time ...
Hard times, a great crisis, getting a man to be, the little horse has a major problem, the boss rush to do another carriage in reloaded car.
A good time recording, beautiful photos, the skin and give the car a snapshot site.
Pleasant afternoon and a nice weekend, wish you Paja.

it is a great capture indeed. The horse driven cart is fine to see with the bags. Nice way for transportation. You have composed it wisely with the cattle. The posture of the driver is very interesting. Excellent perspective and you have collected it very well with nice exposer. Tfs.

Ciao dear Achim,
unbelievable scene, poor horse! These scenes are possible to see only in Africa. Excellent shot, with a perfect photographic quality. Compliments!
Ciao, have a nice week end!

Good evening Achim,
The smallness of the horse in front of its load is astonishing and rather funny. I like this African scene, very exotic for Europeans. Excellent photograph, clear and agreeably and effectively enlightened. Cheer.
Have a good evening

Your composition is showing a daily activity using a taxi to carry the cargo and himself. The presence of the goats has an effect of scale. The subject is well framed. The late morning light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hallo Achim.

unusual scene and "taxi". Miserable horse, hard work. Good reportage and presentation from daily life.
Have a nice day.

mkamionka (35788) 2010-07-10 3:26
very pleasant street scene. The poor horse looks so thin and it carries pretty heavy weight.
I like the goats in the background and the buildings with the cables in the distance. It all creates a very special atmosphere.

A great photo of daily life in Senegal. There is a lot of activity going on and the horse seems to be overladen. I feel that some of the dirt area at the base of the photo could have been cropped out. Tfs, Marlene

Wonderful image with the quickness and the pace of a scene that reproduces such a real environment in the heart of Africa.
Good managing of the light, with nice and natural colors. Well done.
Have to nice weekend.

Poor horse, that's life. Good depiction of daily life. The cart was well positioned, making the picture attractive. Congratulations!

Good morning Achim,
nice this daily life snapshot with the Savanna taxi to passing by in font of your lens. I like the man riding his converge and the other that arrange the merchandises. Difficult and expensive the life for these poor people of Senegal.
Have a nice day,Danos

jmdias (63350) 2010-07-12 16:10
very curious shot showing a typical scene of daily life in that area. Nice light and framing, personages well positioned. well done, we can feel the mood of the moment and place.
maloutim (9639) 2010-07-15 1:08
If they can't affopd the motor taxis, this is an original means of transport anyway!
Well! It would be for tourists, but I understand that local working people would prefer to go a bit faster!
I like your picture which shows typical daily life in Dakar! I suppose it's some kind of market place! I wonder what they are carrying in those white bags!
Thanks for sharing and have a good day!
nikkitta (17066) 2010-08-09 18:26
Interesting scene of every day life
The imagination of people is always surprising!
In Argentina you can see now that kind of transport
Good photo and light

Such a burden for such a little horse! A good daily scene, really Africa! Was it taken in a fair?
Well framed, with all those goats in background!
iainsp (2630) 2010-10-07 11:04
The archetypal developing-world transport issue. A great shot full of interest. Nice to see how healthy the horse looks - probably sneaking whatever the vegetation is out of its load.
regards and thanks, Iain
