Here are the collectors of salt of the lake Retba (called pink lake), situated on almost ile of the Cape Verde close to the Sénégal's Capital: Dakar! Here is the local economy of the region the salt, with a content of 380 grams of salt by liter of water it makes one of the waters the most salted to the world. Why the pink lake? It is due to a cyanobactérie, a microscopic body which makes, especially by weather of dry wind, a red pigment to resist the concentration of salt. Regrettably this day, there was no wind...

Une bonne composition avec ces barques en premier plan et la courbe de la croute de sel qui donne de la profondeur à l'image, bonne netteté, intéressante scène animée qui me rappelle de bons souvenirs.

Interesting composition of daily life full of colour. The detail is good with nice reflections. The bright splashes of colour contrast well with the subdued sky and white salt. Good image.
