This is another photo of the same place, not far from Kedougou, Eastern Senegal. Here we can have a better idea of how the place looks like, with so many people digging and looking for gold, trying hard to improve their living conditions.

a picture of a very impressive and full social message. I feel sorry sight of such employees. A composition successful.

A very remarkable picture and testimony of the social reality in the Third World.
It must have been an extraordinary experience to see such a place with your own eyes, a place and living conditions of which we hear sometimes in the news but that usually lies far from the beaten path.
Very well composed with the miners spread over the picture.
A testimony with a social message.
Best regards, Paul

A good shot of the worker's daily life. Clarity and lighting are well done. Thanks for sharing.

Je préfère encore plus cette photo à la précédente. Belle composition avec les différents chercheurs d'or bien répartis dans l'image. Un travail de galérien pour, certainement, un bien petit revenu!

This conjures up images of prisoners working in a chain gang, where their life existed around breaking up rocks! It looks like a very hard life!
You have defined the conditions well and revealed the hard work that these men undertake.
My warm regards,

I wonder if you witnessed anyone finding any! I doubt it. But this view shows well the environment and harsh conditions endured by these optimistic gold-hunters.

"Wounded terrain" for gold, I'd call this, Ana.
From this fairly distant POV, the miners at work in diff. poses gave good dynamic scale for the photo.
Colors in diff. texture, yet mingle to a nice compo.

Même avec les moyens du bord, ils réussissent à creuser la pierre très efficacement .Pas facile de trouver son pain quotidien dans cette partie du monde. Avec l'espérance de tomber sur le bon filon.

I can see myself working in this kind of mining but not the one underground! Good capture with good lighting and nice details. The miners provided scale. Well done, tfs.

great point of view and composition, a very interesting slice of life. There's almost stillness in this scene, all the workers, even those still at work look tired, there's intensity as well. The formation of the scenery and the textures are intriguing too, it's fascinating to observe the interaction between the people and their extraordinary workplace. Some of them seem to be responding to the presence of the lens. The homogeneous light and the harmonious colours are superb. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

Bien visto y mejor realizado. Me gusta
Que tengas un buen fin de semana.
Saludos muy cordiales.

Old dear Ana
There is beauty in all the ugliness. When I think of what Man is doing to the Earth in his neverending desire to take its minerals, I truly despair. The saddest part is that these men are also being exploited by the wealthy corporations in an effort to remain alive. The image is beautiful but heart-rending.

That is man's obsession, digging for gold. Every old towns in the U.S. started with the gold rush. San Francisco perhaps is the most famous of them.
Excellent daily life image and yes this one show the over all scene better than the previous.
Thanks. Good quality image as always.
